Several clothing retailers have announced take-back programs that acquire used clothes from customers to be recycled, bought or remade into different clothes. H&M, for instance, has allowed customers to deliver undesirable clothes — which will be remodeled to recycled textile fibers for brand new merchandise — since 2013. The firm goals to have “zero garments going to landfill.” Patagonia also recycles and sells used Patagonia products in its shops. Nonetheless, sustainable brands is not going to necessarily cost greater than brand-name clothing, for which we sometimes pay excessive prices for the picture, but rarely for the quality or the sustainability. …
